I was on vacation in Jackson, Wyoming with some family when Kayla reached out to me and asked if I could do some golden hour family photos (AGAIN) for them! I knew she was pregnant so I knew their session would be a hybrid between a maternity session and a family session. We nailed down a date but finding a location was the hard part. You see, this would be their SIXTH session with me! And we obviously didn’t want to go to a location they already had photos done at.

So I did some scouting and find this perfect little spot by the edge of snake river by Bruneau, not too far from the dunes. Minus the bugs, the weather was perfect! Earlier in the day, we were concerned we’d have to reschedule, but the sun came out and the threat of rain went away! Kayla and I were so happy.

Through all their sessions, Kayla has become a dear friend of mine. She has offered me wisdom and advice while I traverse my first pregnancy (due mid November 2021). She texts me resources, and encourages me to hire a doula (I did!), and she always lends kind words and prayers when I need it. I love the people I get to meet through photography!
