There are many things that will go into your wedding and I have compiled a list of things often overlooked that you didn’t even know you needed!
Sending out your wedding invitations with decorative hand-lettering is a great way to impress your guests. You can either learn how to do it yourself via Youtube tutorials or you can hire a professional depending on how big your budget it.
Decorative hangers are a great addition to your wedding day. They totally help set the mood in your day of detail photos that your photographer will take. You can find decorative hangers online on Amazon and Etsy. You can get them personalized with your new last name or have them simply say “bride.” You can also get a hanger that isn’t wedding-specific, but rather a hanger that is decorative and matches your wedding style.
I highly recommend you get your ring cleaned before your wedding but the likelihood of you having time to do that the morning of your wedding is slim, so pack some ring cleaner with you so that someone can polish up your ring and get it ready for its close up!
This is your go-to bag with all of your essentials. Your personal care – deodorant, makeup for touch-ups, bobby pins, tampons, perfume, pain pills, etc. – and anything else you need such as umbrellas, phone chargers, change of shoes, a lint roller, etc.
You’re getting ready for such a big day, why not look amazing while doing it?! Get matching satin robes, or PJs, or flannels! Not only will the girls love it, but your pictures will be that much more fun!
A welcome sign at your ceremony and/or reception is the perfect way to set a personalized tone to your wedding day! Get the sign custom made or make it yourself. Decorate it with flowers, or a basket with welcome gifts.
Having ceremony and reception programs for your guests is perfect for adding another personal touch to your wedding. For the ceremony program, you can talk with your wedding planner or your officiant for an order of ceremony. For the reception program, you can discuss with your DJ the times they plan to start dances, cake cutting, and other reception events. Then place them in a program so that your guests know when to expect these events.
Consider a leather jacket, a fur wrap, or even a flannel to wear over your wedding gown! Dress it up or dress it down, let its express YOU!
If you are doing a send-off (from the ceremony or reception) a getaway car is a unique and fun option! Rent your dream car (check out Turo), decorate it with car-friendly items, make your exit, and drive off!
